rant
I have just heard the biggest load of crap that I think I have ever heard out of a politician's mouth.
U.S. Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Thomas Donohue is promoting overseas outsourcing of jobs as a way to boost the economy and even increase employment. He has stated that exporting high-paid tech jobs to low-cost countries such as India, China and Russia saves companies money that they may use to create new jobs for Americans.
WHAT?! Is he out of his mind?!
Is he actually trying to get us to believe that companies send jobs overseas to create other jobs here? The same man who aggressively promotes pro-business policies, endorses offshoring. His organization, which represents 3 million businesses, champions tax cuts, free trade and more liberal trade deals with China.
From him I am supposed to believe he is out to help the worker? I don't think so!
Especially when he went on to say pockets of unemployment shouldn't lead to "anecdotal politics and policies," he said, and people affected by offshoring should "stop whining."
STOP WHINING?! OH, GIVE ME A BREAK! This man is a shill for big business out to maximize profit at the expense of the worker.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that seven of the 10 occupations expected to gain the most ground are low-wage occupations that do not require a college degree.
How does this help America? The only thing this does is make American workers into wage-slaves. Eventually, companies will stop offshoring. But only when they have broken us enough to be willing to work for the same poverty-level wages that foreign workers are currently receiving.
STOP THE MADNESS!
