rant

Ok, Bush is at it again. He wants to spend money, $10 billion some odd, to deploy missiles this summer for missile defense.

Do they work? Sure they do... If the missile they are aimed at is traveling slower than normal, is emitting a boosted signal, and if we know exactly where the missile was launched from and where it is going.

What is the purpose of this? This does not even show Georgie as being strong on terrorism because we know that terrorists are more likely to use trains, planes, and automobiles (sorry to Steve Martin and John Candy).

This one expenditure is more than twice that of any other single system that we are funding.

In fact, we have spent $50 billion just to reach this point. Missile defense sounds like a wonderful thing, but it is nothing more than a cash cow for defense.

Not to mention that we actually had to pull out of a non-proliferation treaty just to follow through with this dead horse.

George, the clue phone is ringing. Time to pick it up.
